Will my insurance cover my oxygen or sleep therapy?
- Oxygen and sleep therapy products and supplies are covered under the DME or durable medical equipment portion of your insurance plan. Not all plans cover DME so the only way to know for sure is to have us check your eligibility.
Will my insurance cover any type of system or supply if I have DME coverage?
- Insurance companies typically set a single rate for a product category and leave it up to us to determine whether or not we are willing to accept that rate for that particular product. Since some products are more expensive than others, companies may not be willing to provide those under the insurance companies rates.
Will my insurance company allow me to switch providers for my oxygen or sleep therapy?
- Insurance companies will allow you to switch providers but it's up to the provider to determine if they are willing to accept you. Due to capped rental periods on products such as oxygen and CPAP's, companies are generally not willing to accept customers who want to switch providers. Not all insurance companies have a cap on the rental period though. Providers are usually willing to accept new CPAP supply customers since those items are purchased. Having a policy with a network will also greatly limit your ability to switch companies.
