Insurance policies that have Durable Medical Equipment coverage will pay for fresh supplies on a regular basis!
What supplies are replaced? Masks, mask cushions/pillows, mask headgear, chinstraps, tubing, filters, and humidifier chambers.
How frequently can my supplies be replaced? Insurance company's have slight differences but for the most part they replace supplies as follows . . .
Masks - One every 3 to 6 months
Cushions - One to Two per month
Headgear - One every 6 months
Chinstraps - One every 6 months
Tubing - One every 1 to 3 months
Filters - One to Two per month
Humidifier Chamber - One every 6 months
Can my machine be replaced if it's old or broken? Typically, if the CPAP/BiPAP machine is five years old or older it CAN be replaced. Replacing broken machines is a lot more difficult to do if it is less than five years old.
Why is it so much cheaper online to buy sleep equipment? A lot of people have asked us why the equipment/supplies are so much cheaper to buy online. There are several reasons for this.
